Trope – Forbidden romance

“One wrong move and we wouldn’t have happened “

– Harper

BUT THEY DID !

This book left me feeling all sort of emotions at once. Nate Connovan is the biggest green flag ever. I found this book the best amongst all three. A perfect ending to the series. Hayle has really knocked it out of the park with this. It can be read as a standalone as well.

Characters

Nate Connovan is the most charming billionaire you would come across. He fell in love with her at first sight when he saw her 4 years ago but his best friend approached her first. He had to watch her with him all this while and couldn’t do anything. He moved to another country to be away from them. Now she has broken up with him weeks before their wedding and she is in his city (what are the odds) and he has few weeks to get his girl even if its the biggest violation of bro code.

Harper Elliot thought she was in love but she was losing herself in the relationship. Breaks her engagement weeks before wedding and flees to chase her dreams and independence. Little did she know this one move is going to take her towards her HEA.

PLOT

His best friend asked her keep an eye on her as she abruptly left as per him but Nate has completely agenda for accepting this ordeal. He felt guilty but not for too long. He keeps her safe, offers comfort in the new country without pushing for any answers. She wants to find her own footing, live freely do all those things that she missed out on. He is madly in love with her for so many years but he becomes her friend, helps her with her bucket list, regain that confidence and joy that she had lost. He becomes her biggest cheer leader and a friend with whom she can unapologetically herself. He made her feel alive and becomes the light she didn’t know she needed.

The chemistry between the characters is incredible. The development of their friendship has been written beautifully. The way Nate earns his trust day by day by just being there and enable her experience everything she always wanted to. The fact that he has a photographic memory and he observed and remembered every little detail about her over the years, her likes/dislikes even when she was with someone else made me swoon. This book would leave you emotional, happy and satisfied. Nate Connovan will be your next book boyfriend. Go for it. You wont regret.

Happy reading!

Ohhh my goodness, this review has me questioning reality now! 😍

Do Nate Connovans actually exist in the real world or are we all just destined to fall for fictional green-flag kings forever?

I haven’t started this series yet, but the way you’ve described Nate and Harper.. the forbidden love, the years of silently loving her, the way he supports her growth and independence it’s giving butterflies, hope, and a little bit of delusion I’m happily willing to indulge in! 😌✨

You always know how to capture the heart of a story so perfectly..leaving just enough for us to crave the full experience. Your review genuinely makes me want to dive into this world immediately and find out how their beautiful connection unfolds.

Keep writing, keep sharing, keep making us fall in love with love!

And here’s to believing that men like Nate exist somewhere out there… maybe in another city… maybe in another book 😂

Happy reading to both of us! ✨📖
