This is one of the best dark mafia romance that I have read in a long long time. It revolves around a marriage of convenience between a mafia villain ‘Tiernan’ and a 18 year old deaf sexual assault survivor ‘Lila’. Both have survived extreme trauma and are finding a reason to live. The writing is brilliant, character development is so good.

Tiernan’s character being a deathless villain has been written to be so thoughtful and sensitive when it comes to Lila. The beauty of dark mafia romances is that the villain would always defy all his rules for his girl but Shen has taken it to another level with this book. There are so many emotional moments in the book that will make you fall in love with Tiernan.

Both the characters are inexperienced and were figuring out their sexuality together. This was a first for me. The spice was also innocent in its own way. The plot twists were jaw dropping. I don’t want to give any spoilers but if you are into dark age gap romances, then go for it. This book WOULD NOT DISSAPOINT YOU.
